Oakland University Girls Head Coach

The Oakland University women's soccer program has a history of winning. A large part of that winning history is associated with Nick O'Shea who has racked up 179 career wins in 16 seasons with the program. Entering his 17th season as OU's head soccer coach in 2010, O'Shea has firmly established himself as one of the most successful head coaches in any sport at OU with a.608 career-winning percentage (179-105-15) and having guided his teams to at least a share of seven regular season league titles in OU's 11 seasons in the league, the Golden Grizzlies have also captured six league tournament titles and have made five appearances in the NCAA tournament.

Leslie-ann O'Shea

Associate Director, Girls Overnight Camps

Leslie-ann is in her 7th year as Associate Director for the Girls Overnight Camps. She is a former Canadian National Team Player. She has her USSF C License,  has won 2 Club State Cup Championships in Michigan (2000 & 2001) and 2 ODP Regional Championships (2002 & 2005)

Dave Morgan

Dave Morgan

Oakland University Girls Asst. Coach

The 2010 season marks the third year for Dave Morgan as a full-time assistant coach for the Oakland women's soccer program, and his fifth overall with the team. Prior to being promoted to full-time assistant in 2008, Morgan served for two seasons as a volunteer assistant on Nick O'Shea's staff.

While working on the OU staff, Morgan's primary duties have included on-field coaching and overall team development. Morgan has also updated the program's recruiting plan for future recruiting classes.

Gordon Gardiner

Gordon Gardiner

Oakland University Girls Asst. Coach

Gordon Gardiner is entering his 10th season working with the Oakland women's soccer team. His primary role with the Golden Grizzlies is as a goalkeeping instructor.

Prior to Oakland, Gardiner worked for Leeds United Football Club in England as a goalkeeper coach from 1998 to 2001. Gardiner played semi-professional soccer in England from 1985-1992 and is a member of the English FA Coaches Association.

Chris Edwards

Chris Edwards

Oakland University Girls Volunteer Asst. Coach

Former Oakland standout Chris Edwards joined the OU women's soccer staff in 2009 as a volunteer assistant coach. Edwards, who also coaches at Force FC, is a name that is familiar to many OU soccer fans.

Edwards is affiliated with Force FC, where he has assisted since 2002. He coaches the boys under-18 team, in addition to the U-9, U-11 and U-12 boys teams. He holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National Youth Coaching License, in addition to Scottish Football Association (SFA) E, D and C license in addition to his SFA Goalkeeping license.

Jennifer Perkins

Jennifer Perkins

Administrative Assistant

Jennifer Perkins begins her seventh season on Nick O'Shea's staff at Oakland in 2010. She handles most of the administrative duties of the program as well as assisting with on field coaching and recruiting.

Perkins came to the Golden Grizzlies with 10 years of coaching experience under her belt with three different area teams. She has been a head coach for the Vardar Youth Soccer Club for 10 years and has also been a head coach in the state Olympic Development Program since 1998. Perkins has also coached at West Bloomfield High School from 1992-94. She also brings a wealth of experience as a camp clinician to the program.
